Spring was on full display when I made a quick trip to Greensboro, North Carolina. My friend and I decided to find a morning activity. We knew there was a mall nearby but the weather was beautiful and we both wanted to be outside.
We googled “botanical gardens in Greensboro” and discovered Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden. So, we put the address in our GPS and proceeded to drive right past the entrance. I asked a lovely little lady with a strong southern accent if she knew where the gardens were…and she said, “My dear you are right across the street.”
The gardens couldn’t be seen from the parking lot, but once we were on the walking path, we found paradise. You can see from the pictures what a beautiful place this is. Winding paths guide you past trees, shrubbery, flowers, and eventually to a grist mill. The path continues up a hill to hidden spots where you can rest and refresh your soul. There are also sculptures placed among the greenery that cause you to pause and admire the artists’ talent.
I am so excited for you to visit and enjoy the tranquility of the Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden. Just make sure you don’t speed right past the entrance like me!
