I have so much to show you. If I were asked what my hobbies are, I’d have to say, “Looking at home décor magazines.” Growing up I don’t remember my mother ever having magazines laying around…although we did get the Sears and JC Penny catalogs. I really could laugh out loud when I think about how we combed through the pages of those phonebook-sized catalogs.

We waited anxiously for months to get a glimpse of what would become our school clothes. But did I ever see a furniture catalog? No. Back then, you had to get in your car and drive to a furniture store. As a kid, I recall hating a trip to the furniture store because the only thing you heard was, “Get off the furniture. Don’t sit on that chair…it’s for display.” Then my parents would sit on everything they were considering while we looked annoyed and bored. But now we can shop online. It couldn’t be any easier; however, I do still love to visit furniture stores. As a matter of fact, I prefer it. I’ll go online simply to get ideas and then I’ll head off to my favorite furniture stores.
