Exercise helps so much, especially stretching. Do you make sure that even if you don’t exercise, you find time to stretch? You can reduce stress with the smallest amount of stretching. If I am sitting typing for a long time, I stop, stand, bend down at the waist, and just let my head hang. Like in yoga, you get blood into your brain and out of your behind.
If you are in a coffee shop or at work, put your hands behind your neck and intertwine your fingers. Then with your elbows bent, pull your arms back until they are slightly behind your head. Then bring your arms forward and back again ten times. Most people will think you have migraines or stiff shoulders and ignore you.
It is more important to relieve stress than to care what other people think of you. Most people are now looking at their computers or phones, so they will not notice. Your physical well-being is key to reducing stress.
