You wanted to know what I wore to Maine…warm clothes. Most people were headed to warm weather, but I am not normal. I love to visit Maine in the winter. It is the time of the year with very little traffic, and you can find a parking spot with no problem. Yes, you may have to climb over a mound of snow to get from your car to the sidewalk, but it is winter.

I made sure to layer up for the trip north. My first concern was packing enough clothes while keeping my suitcase light. Jeans are always comfortable to travel in, and lined boots with good tread, so no slipping. Both items are on my body, keeping the suitcase light, even with twenty-five pairs of underwear. I will never be caught without clean panties.

All tops are long-sleeved crewneck in black and white, except for one purchase I made in the city. I stopped at Zane Boutique and found the perfect Michael Stars long-sleeved crewneck in Chestnut. Chestnut is my new favorite color. One lightweight top will not add weight to my travel bag.

I wore a sweater over my top and a scarf around my neck. My full-length coat is from Zara in light blue so the snow plows could see me. But, I forgot one item…no, not gloves, a hat. It would be best to have a hat with the wind chill factor. My friend Karen lent me hers, which had a pom-pom on top. I loved the hat.

I had the best time, and most importantly, I was warm in winter.
