What will be your vacation destination this summer?  Our country offers a huge variety of vacation spots.  Portland, Maine is one of the most popular on the East Coast.  The City of Portland is set on a peninsula extending into the Casco Bay.  

The Old Port waterfront features working fishing wharves and converted warehouses that are now restaurants with views of the water.   The cobblestone streets are lined with a wide variety of shops and restaurants. 

If you are looking for a foodie town, Portland is the place.  From lobster rolls made fresh right in front of you and sold from a street cart, to upscale dining from some of the countries finest chefs, your choices are endless.

After you have your first lobster roll, stroll up to the Western Promenade.  The Promenade is a public park atop a bluff with magnificent views.  The first time I stood at the top of the bluff, the scenery of the mountains and water took my breath away.
