Last summer, our travel plans kept us on the move. From Gloucester to Alexandria, Virginia and on to Beckley, West Virginia, Grayson and I traveled many miles and shared sights that will stay in our memories…and kept Grayson off his cell phone for hours.
Because of the current gas prices, we will stay closer to our home in Williamsburg. I want to make it our challenge to find places to visit on a budget. I want to visit parks, eat, and shop on the cheap. I am excited to have you come along with us through our blogs. I will try and get Grayson to comment too. His usual remarks when we visit any new place, are limited to, “This was a great place to visit!” Feel free to ask him a question to expand his answers; it could work.
Grayson and I share many interests and historical homes are just one. The pictures I have posted were from our travels last summer. The small brick structure is in Gloucester, Virginia. The larger well appointed brick home is in Alexandria, Virginia. The beautiful white building located in West Virginia is The Greenbrier Resort. Before The Greenbrier, there stood a building known as The Old White.
Everywhere we travel, history surrounds us, and this summer will be another adventure, just less expensive.
