Riding my bike makes me feel alive. Exercise is the best medicine for healing what ails you, and it saves gas—two good reasons for pumping up your tires and making the most of this fall.
Residing in Virginia has given me a better workout than in Florida. I did sweat a lot in the humidity in Sarasota, but without hills, there was no challenge. The hills of Virginia create a whole new workout that is not for the faint of heart.
Why is this post under Comedy? Because you have to see me out there, making my way into town. I am officially a goober. I wave and say “Hello” to everyone who passes. My son has asked me not to wave while riding. He knows I am a woman on a bike looking for a stone or curb to run into.
I know my limitations from previous falls. But, I do need to stop waving.
If you do see me, I am not rude, just cautious.
