The Restaurant in Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City is L’Avenue at Saks.  A Devine find in the most relaxing atmosphere.  The room is warm and elegant and the service was excellent.  

The hostess was kind and accommodating.  I did not have a reservation but she made sure I had a seat at the bar.  Immediately the bartender came over and made suggestions for lunch. 

I choose the Macaroni Aux Morilles – Morel Rigatoni.  The rigatoni was cooked perfectly.  The sauce with morels was full bodied like a fine wine but not too rich.  

This exceptional lunch dish can only compared to the lunch I had in Positano, Italy called “Sunday Supper”.  Macaroni Aux Morilles at L’Avenue should not be saved for a special occasion…the time is now.  

A quick trip to New York City may be on your itinerary for the summer of 2022.  Traveling alone or with a group of friends, make sure you have lunch at L’Avenue at Saks.  I suggest reservations, but of course!
