Home styles are so intriguing to me.  New England has home styles that are unique to the area and landscape.  I love Maine and the architecture of the small cottages and stately homes.  The older the home the more I try to take in the exterior details.

When visiting the town of Kennebunkport, walk along Ocean Avenue to take in the views on either side of the road. Standing on the sidewalk and looking up at the summer cottages gives you the viewpoint to appreciate their aesthetic appeal.  On the opposite side of the road, you will see breathtaking views of rocks, blue water, and the beach.   

These homes are immaculately landscaped with gardens bursting with color.  And, on every side street, you will see more lovely homes, each one a different style.  I walk the side streets and feel lucky the homes are not tucked away behind gates.  You can hear the residents having a morning chat over their coffee on their porches.
