Frank’s Fine Arts is the art gallery you would see in any major city, but this gallery is in Littleton, NC. The difference between Frank’s Fine Arts and big city galleries is the relaxed, down-to-earth atmosphere. Olivia, one of the owners, was not pretentious. She was easy to talk to and took her time to answer all our questions. She was also kind enough to stand in front of a set of wings her mother made of leather.
I usually write all the blogs for my website. This time I have to quote from the card Olivia gave me when I was in the gallery; it is a perfect description.
ART OF A DIFFERENT KIND
Frank’s Fine arts is dedicated to representing sophisticated art from established and upcoming artists. Owners Cathy and Olivia Wiggins sought to create a gallery for “art of a different kind” that wouldn’t necessarily fit in other galleries. Situated in historic downtown Little, NC, Frank’s is a unique gallery experience with a hometown vibe in the middle of a growing arts community.
Cathy Wiggins has a fantastic talent for working with leather. I featured her leatherwork in the Fashion Blog. But as you can see from the picture of the wings, those are all leather feathers crafted by Cathy. Cathy also teaches classes in the creation of leather art.
Many other artists in the gallery are displayed with the talent of a designer’s careful eye. You will see some of the art in the pictures, but this gallery must be experienced in person.
