Last year, I discovered Fontaine Caffe & Creperie, an intimate restaurant on a side street in Old Town Alexandria, and I made a return visit this year.  This is where the locals eat…and it’s obvious why!

I love crepes and Fontaine’s are superb…light and perfectly prepared.  I ordered the Old Towner, which has a filling of ham, sautéed spinach, and caramelized onions…and I asked if the chef could include brie cheese as well.  I was in heaven!  Every bite was delicious with all the filling ingredients melding together perfectly without overpowering the delicate crepe that surrounded it.  

I think the picture says it all!  If you get the chance, try this wonderful restaurant and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
