I think I am on to something. We all know we can choose endless recipes on the internet, but, I made a choice recently to stop at our local library and pick up a cookbook. I know what you are thinking…she must be over 55! Back off kids; give it a try. I got the best cookbook and checked it out of the library.
My son Grayson and I made one recipe that night and it was excellent. Alfredo with peppers, onions and sausage. The recipe called for Italian sausage, instead I used chicken sausage with Italian seasonings and kale. I also replaced the parmesan cheese with pecorino romano cheese, rich and creamy.
Tonight we are making another recipe out of the same book. This is so much fun at any age. I chose the first dish we made and now it is his turn. It is funny he chose Beef Bourguignon, a winter dish. I will never lose my winter weight. If this is as good as the first recipe, who cares about weight loss.
We will let you know how things go in the kitchen. I am off to shop for all items I don’t have at home…my list is long. What is on your menu for dinner?
