You don’t have to have go back far in your memory bank to find a beautiful image. In October of 2019, I traveled to Italy. It was truly what everyone told me it would be, beautiful. This simple picture was taken in a hallway of a hotel. The hotel was where my man, Rusty, and I had lunch. The view from our table was spectacular. We were in Positano. I got up from the table to find the ladies room. I had to wind around the hallways and take one flight of stairs down to this hallway. I couldn’t believe the view out the window. The sky was so blue. The tiles were artwork on a roof built long ago. I wanted to reach out and touch the tiles, but my bladder was reminding me to focus on my immediate need.
I am so glad I took this picture. I have not yet mastered the art of meditation. I do want to make sure to have this image as a replacement for negative thoughts and images. Travel back in time to a place where you stood and saw an image you were taken in by. Travel back to yesterday or last year or the last decade. Look in your phone and find a picture or image that makes you feel good. Please take the time to do this now. Put the image somewhere, on your phone, where you can see it everyday. I want you and me to have these pictures in or on our mind’s eye. When you are feeling down or blue, please travel back in time and replace the bad with the good…your image of joy and delight.
