I think we all know that the hotel makes a huge difference in the overall opinion of time away from home. The Residence Inn by Marriott in Old Town Alexandria is conveniently located and comfortable. The exterior has a traditional, sophisticated look while the interior is contemporary.
This time it was the staff that made our stay a memorable one. The young lady at the front desk Arina was so sweet. Her enthusiasm was infectious. “Our hotel is a great hotel,” she said…and I have to agree. We arrived before standard check-in time, but they accommodated us and made our room ready. Two thumbs up!
Each time we walked through the lobby, the staff was extremely friendly and informative. They made sure we knew breakfast was available every morning. On our first morning at the hotel, they were offering a special menu with spinach and Swiss cheese quiche, sausage, egg, and cheese on croissants…and much more. I’m a fan of hotels that include a buffet breakfast in your room charge. I usually have my morning meal and then bring containers of cereal and milk back to the room to have on hand for a late-night snack. I suppose some people bring alcohol to their room, but I bring Raisin Bran and 2% milk. Party on!
As far as I’m concerned, The Residence Inn by Marriott in Old Town Alexandria is a winner for us…and I hope you find it to your liking too!
