Who’d think we’d ever be talking about “mask fashion?” But since we’re all wearing one these days, it’s become “a thing.” If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s about considering the safety of others while finding our own personal fashion statement.
The masks I wear and sell display a message aimed at helping those with special needs. On the mask is printed, “There Is No Normal.” I believe we should look at everyone as having special needs. Forget those pre-conceived notions of what “normal” is and let people be themselves. Imagine if this was our attitude.
I’m so proud that my masks are catching on here in Sarasota. The delightful young lady in the picture bought one from me last week when she stopped by my display in town on Pineapple Avenue during the Saturday Farmer’s Market. Her name is Eivsa and she told me she’s starting her own pet sitting business. She said the mask was soft and comfortable…and she looks adorable in it. It’s exciting for me to see my masks showing up on other people around town as I hope to spread this positive message.
