In Littleton, NC, a clever art store combines both Frank’s Fine Arts “art of a different kind.” Located in a downtown storefront, the atmosphere will delight. The newly renovated space, with an exposed brick wall, reflects the sophisticated taste of the artists and owners.

The owners Cathy and her daughter Olivia Wiggins have created Frank’s Fine Art, and its namesake is their father and grandfather. I am featuring the incredible work of Cathy Wiggins. When I entered the store, the art stood out first, but something else caught my eye as I looked to my left, handbags.

The handbags are all one of a kind. Ms. Cathy Wiggins has perfected the art of crafting leather bags. I worked in the leather goods business. My boss was from Italy and gave me a better understanding of the work that goes into designing and crafting leather handbags. Cathy’s designs are unique, and each bag has its appeal. Olivia was so helpful in explaining the remarkable leather and animal skin used for the bags.

The pictures are beautiful, but nothing compares to seeing the handbags in person. And Cathy has also crafted leather-bound journals. I have also featured other leather works by Cathy Wiggins under the Style section. You will be amazed at the leather wings.
