I used to live in Sarasota, Florida. You might think that taking a vacation there is like going home, but it’s not. Sarasota feels like you are on vacation even when you live there year-round. The beaches, shopping, dining, and visiting friends make for a fun getaway.

I now live in Williamsburg, Va, and it does feel like home. So flying south to sunny Florida was the vacation I needed now that the weather had turned cold. I couldn’t wait to feel the warmth and see my freshly painted toes in sandals.

I am always fascinated by rapid development in Sarasota, and my friends quickly filled me in on the latest restaurants and shops since my departure in 2021. I was happy to dine at Epicure, Shore, Libby’s, and Owen’s Fish Camp. Most incredible of all, the time I got to spend with friends.

Wherever you venture, spend time with friends who have loved, supported, and listened to you ramble on about this or that.
They deserve your time and attention.

Sarasota will have a special place in my heart because of the amazing friends I was lucky to meet.
