You would expect to find pictures of food under the Category of Florida Cuisine. The food choices are extensive in Sarasota. I will show you most of our dishes on Instagram and Facebook, but here, I want to acknowledge the delightful people who make it all possible.
They are all dedicated men and women who serve the food. On Main Street in Sarasota is a small bakery with the freshest pastries, desserts, and crepes. ofKors Bakery is pronounced “Of Kors” and serves savory fare, plus Italian coffee & juices.
I love seeing Aray in ofKors with her welcoming smile. Aray remembers my regular order, chocolate croissant and cappuccino. Even with the long lines, she is always patient and friendly.
I then head to the Famers Market to find a group of men who know how to make empanadas. I have never seen so many different varieties of empanadas. I know you have to get there early, but I am lucky, and there is one left, and breakfast is served. The outside pastry is perfect, and the egg, sausage, and cheese are warm inside. The gentlemen who take your order work together to give you a great experience.
If you are in Sarasota, find the pink sign, Empanada Girl, at the Farmers Market.
Who can make your day just by taking your order with a smile? Please tell us their name and the restaurant’s name, and we will acknowledge their excellent work.
