Back in the day, and as Dane Cook said it was a Wednesday, you could buy a pair of jeans one year, and the same jeans were in style the following year. If the jeans became too tight, notice I didn’t say too loose, you could find the same pair of jeans to purchase.

Good luck finding the same pair of jeans today, never mind the exact fit. Everything changes so fast, and some clothes have become “throw-away.” Thank goodness the environmentally conscious are helping with recycling. Jeans are crucial to our wardrobes, so fit is vitally important.

My pick for last year was Karen Kane, cropped and comfortable. I lived in those jeans last year, and I am wearing them now. I purchased the jeans at Whimsy Greenville in Greenville, Delaware. The shop has a small clothing collection that is spot-on for remarkable style.

This year’s jeans are from Zest in Richmond, Virginia. Zest is a fabulous shop with a great selection of the most current styles beautifully displayed. I chose slim-fit, ankle-length pair of jeans from AG-ED Denim, EX-BOYFRIEND SLIM.

The funny thing is I still can’t find jeans called “Ex-Husband”, I’ll keep looking.

P.S. That is me in the jeans, lol. They are the Karen Kane cropped denim.
