Fall Fashion

I don’t know about you, but I try to hold onto summer for as long as I can! But, the fall fashions are officially being shipped, delivered, and unboxed. I have never had an extensive wardrobe, but I try to stay up to speed on the latest trends and pick some classic, timeless pieces that work across my wardrobe. I follow my fashion tastes and carefully watch others I admire. Some of my favorite places for fall-spiration are Gwenyth Paltro’s GOOP, and local boutiques like Zest, the Shoe Attic, and Aquamarine

I start at all my favorite high-end stores and purchase one or two capsule pieces. These first articles of clothing are my staples that will be worn until they wear out (hopefully they never do!). My next step is to have fun and shop for all the items to accompany my staples. I will go to the Internet only if I am having trouble finding the right pieces. I try to give local stores my business first (such as the stores mentioned above). I love their advice, and I like when the owner or sales associates are familiar with my fashion taste. These wonderful people also know my price range and help me make wise purchases.

Then my next step is to head over to the resale shops that have gently worn clothing…sometimes with the original tags still attached! I love finding great jewelry accessories at second-hand shops.

The essential fall activity is taking your clothing to resale shops. Change out the pieces you no longer love for new ones you do, all on the cheap! Not to mention how much better it is for the environment to recycle and reuse clothing.

I will keep you posted as I choose my fall fashion. Help us all out and share your favorite fall staples for this season! Tag me on Instagram with your fall-spiration outfits.
