I just read Jeannie Gaffigan’s book, When Life Gives You Pears and I loved it.
What do you mean you don’t know Jeannie? She is famous for cohabiting with five children and her funny husband, comic, Jim Gaffigan. I freak out when I tell someone about Jeannie and Jim and they ask who they are. If I know who Brad Pitt is then why don’t they know Jim Gaffigan? He is so hot and Jeannie is his hag wife. I may have those facts confused. Nothing matters, just read the book. Why? Because everyone has setbacks but Jeannie had a brain tumor the size and shape of a pear. The book has so much good advice about facing life’s challenges without dragging you down or preaching to you. It is the real way people receive bad news. It is the real truth about how important finding the right medical team is to the outcome.
Jeannie truly shines as a writer for helping others cope with a life event that stops and could possibly end your life. I also like the book because it is honest about the struggles of family members, especially partners in the caregiving role. Go Jim. Go Jeannie. I will talk about this book for years to come because it should be the book all patients are given when entering a hospital lobby. The Gaffigan’s, could sell it in hospital bookstores. I wonder if they need a sales-rep?
P.S. Jeannie is totally hot looking and a great Mom!
